Some Fall Pics

The boys are in a superhero phase - thus the Halloween costumes. Dallin still wears his Spiderman costume everyday and told me that he wants to wear it for Halloween again next year. When I told him that he would be too big for it next year, he got very upset and told me he did not want to grow anymore.
We took a drive a few weeks ago to see the pretty Fall colors

We bought some pumpkins to decorate the front porch - but since we bought three of them, the three boys thought that we had bought one for each of them - and would not leave them alone. What was I thinking anyway? Decorations that are not nailed down, are not going to remain decorations for long at our house. The boys sure enjoyed them though and they are surprisingly durable!

Don't you dare smile!

We had to go to Lowes the other day to pick up a few things. As you can tell the boys were thrilled - both stubbornly refusing to look at the camera or muster any sort of pleasant expression.
At least Jack is happy. Thank goodness for 9 month-olds. Love you Jack!!

Dallin is 4!

It was Dallin's fourth birthday on Sunday. I thought I would share a few pictures of his little party we had with his cousins at his grandparents house. We had a rough day, cake-wise, but luckily he was just as happy with my last-minute cupcakes. Hopefully next year I will be able to pull off something cute again.

He had a fun day and is still enjoying his presents.

Preschool

Dallin started preschool last week. This is a photo from his first day. I am amazed at him. He is so friendly and outgoing. He walked right in saying hi to everyone without so much as a "bye mom" or a backward glance at me. So many of the other kids were acting exactly as I would have acted at that age - scared, clinging to their moms, etc. Not Dallin. I have to wonder where this kid came from, but I am glad that he is not shy. He is loving preschool and always goes and comes with a big smile on his face. On his first day he woke up, grabbed his backpack and found me in the office. He then announced to me. "Hey mom. It's my big day!"

Vacation

We took the boys to Bridal Veil Falls while we were visiting my family in Orem. They had tons of fun playing in the water at the bottom of the falls. We had a hard time getting them to leave.

Thomas wasn't so sure if he liked the cold water at first, so this rock was a favorite for him for awhile.

Aren't they pretty? I miss Utah.

They boys enjoyed doing some fireworks while we were at my parent's house.

This is Thomas roasting marshmallows at our family reunion.

Fishing with Dad

Dallin and Thomas went fishing with Jeremy and the Young Men. Dallin actually had his first experience reeling one in. They all had a good time.
